SuperSport United Looking To Bounce Back Against Cape Town City! Matsatsantsa host the Cityzens in the DSTV Premiership this afternoon.
Both teams are coming into this game on the back of midweek defeats. SuperSport lost 2-1 to Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Tuesday.
It was a controversial defeat as Lesotho international striker Sera Motebang was offside when he scored the winner. A painful defeat which saw them lost more ground on city rivals Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the DSTV Premiership table.
“We put a loss behind the back of our minds and are working on regaining our confidence. We have rectified the mistakes that happened in the previous game and are now looking forward to fighting for points” Siyabonga Nhlapo tells the official club website.
They are coming up against a wounded Cape Town City side which comfortably lost away to Orlando Pirates during the week. They conceded 2 goals within the opening 5 minutes to lose the match 2-0.
Nhlapo admits that the team spirit is high and that they’re looking forward to their clash this afternoon.
“The spirit is very in the camp and the team ready for the big fight come Saturday night.
We can’t settle for anything less than three points, I’m positive the team will approach this one with a positive mentality,” the defender concluded.
