Meet Supersport United’s Yeye!
Perhaps the most unexpected move from Kaizer Chiefs to Supersport United was Reneilwe Letsholonyane. Yeye joined Supersport United after a spell of injuries and hard fought come back to the first eleven in 2015/2016 season. Yeye played less at Chiefs and then later moved to Supersprt where he is currently playing and re-united with Morgan Gould, Kingston Nkhatha and coach Stuart Baxter.
Supersport under the guidance and tactics of Staurt Baxter are league contenders for the 2016/2017 title. Supersport are currently on their top game this season and have been cup competition contenders after they lost the Telkom Knockout Cup to Cape Town City. After that setback, Supersport have been on the top five log leaders this season and they will continue to march to be champions. Speaking to media after the arrival of Mandla Masango to Supersport, Baxter said, “We are happy that Masango will be joining us and we are keen to win the league and cup competitions”.
Old wine matures and that is no exception to Yeye who has played in all games for Supersport and has continued to impress Baxter that he is getting more versatile on his game. The 34 year old has been disciplined, fit and looks healthy and this is perhaps being the engine of a team. Yeye has gelled well with captain Dean Furman in the midfield for Supersport. We can expect nothing but great football from Yeye alongside his teammates as they continue to fight for the league title and the Nedbank Cup.
