A suspect Who Shot Senzo Meyiwa Serves A Life Sentence
A suspect who shot the former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has been reportedly serving a life sentence in jail. The suspect was sentenced for another murder of a Soweto man who allegedly hit his girlfriend’s bottom. A suspect who shot Senzo Meyiwa serves a life sentence.
The suspect was sentenced two months ago after shooting a victim eight times. It has been reported that the suspect appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court for possession of an firearm which was linked in shooting of the Burcaneers former goalkeeper.
Senzo’s father, Sam Meyiwa, is not happy with the the way the police has been delay in perception of his son’s killer and he said he was convinced there was a conspiracy.
“Since police made promises of an imminent arrest through acting national police commissioner Lt-Gen Khomotso Phahlane in April, I have not heard anything from them. I have lost hope and when you listen to the news you hear police making arrests in other high profile cases,” Sam Meyiwa said.
“Why no arrests in my son’s death; who is suppressing the investigation?”
Senzo’s father is convinced that there is something fishy going on behind his son’s death. Police spokesperson Brig Mashadi Selepe on Tuesday refused to comment on the case.
