Maritzburg United Complete the Signing of Wayde Jooste! The Team of Choice have added a member to their squad before the window opens.

Wayde Jooste has joined Maritzburg United on a free transfer. This has happened just before the January transfer window opens up on Sunday.

Jooste has been without a club ever since he left Orlando Pirates at the beginning of the season. He has since been on the hunt for new employers.

“Jooste Signs with the Team of Choice. Maritzburg United Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Wayde Jooste.

“A technically gifted footballer who plays with attacking flair and a high work rate.”

The right back was publicly training with SuperSport United after leaving The Buccaneers. This training was also considered to be trials for Jooste.

By joining The Team of Choice, he will essentially be replacing Bandile Shandu, who left the club for Orlando Pirates, where he essentially replaced Wayde Jooste. In essence, it is somewhat of a switch between the right backs.
