Striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana Confuses Fans After Celebration! The Burundian striker had the Amakhosi faithful puzzled on Saturday night.

Kaizer Chiefs beat SuperSport United 2-1 in the DSTV Premiership this weekend. Their goals came courtesy of Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.

These were his first two goals for his new club Amakhosi. After scoring the goals, he celebrated in what appeared to be an Orlando Pirates sign.

It is the trademark crossing of hands to make a pirate gesture. He also appeared to show skull signs.

This left the Buccaneers fans in tatters as the striker of their fiercest rivals made an Orlando Pirates sign. However, he may have defended himself.

“No, that is an appreciation sign for Burundian fans who came to support me. This is a well known Burundian cross and is even there on our flag. I am sorry if I confused the fans.” He is reported to have replied.

Arthur Zwane defended the decision to leave on the striker. This is as the supporters began to show discontentment with the forward.

“To be a coach you have to be a leader and you have to believe in your players. They know that I believe in them.

“In many ways, football is a game of mistakes. Every player makes mistakes and I always remind them not to focus on their mistakes but rather focus on the good things that can get the best out of them.

“That’s why I encouraged him because when a player out on the field looks at the bench and sees that maybe I doubt his ability that will kill his confidence as well, so I have to lift him up.” Zwane spoke.

The club has also confirmed that the striker is NOT a Buccaneer. Striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana Confuses Fans After Celebration!
