Wayde Lekay Looking Forward to Scoring More Goals at The Mbombela Stadium! The Rockets striker is eager to start scoring goals in the 2021/2022 season.
Wayde Lekay is hopeful that he’ll score as many goals as possible this season. The striker emphasises that the Mbombela stadium is one of the best in the country.
The TS Galaxy striker scored 3 goals in the DSTV Premiership last campaign. He is keen to score at least twice that amount in the current campaign.
He scored his first league goal against AmaZulu in the previous campaign.
“This is a beautiful stadium.” Lekay explained to the club website.
“The first time I played in the stadium, I scored on my debut.
“I remember that night vividly. I also came here the night before to train.
“Legends have played in this stadium. Night games are always enjoyable,” the striker added
Lekay went on to explain how he felt on the night before the game started.
“I was confident that night. I could feel that I was going to score.
“This time around I’m also feeling the same. We’ve put in some hard work in the pre-season.
“We are confident to just go there and do our best. We’ve worked hard and I think we can reap the rewards of the hard work that we have put in,” he said.
