Orlando Pirates play against Dondol Stars in their Nedbank Cup quarterfinal encounter this afternoon. Assistant coach Sergio Almenara is wary of the threat posed by their opponents.

The ABC Motsepe League outfit have already ousted SuperSport United and AmaZulu FC in their two matches thus far. The Buccaneers on the other hand have played and won against All Stars FC and Venda Football Academy, both in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Chaba Refete have the opportunity to claim the biggest scalp in their club’s history, by defeating the mighty Buccaneers.

“The week has been very successful in terms of training, performance. We are very happy, and the players are projecting a really positive vibe.” Almenara told the club media.

“I think the team right now is in a good space, so we are very happy with everything that’s happening around the team. Its about the facts, you know, Dondol [Stars] just took down two PSL teams [SuperSport United & AmaZulu FC], so we have been checking them, and they’re a good team.

“So, we are going to face the game with the respect that the competition and the opponent team deserves. So, its one more game that we have to face, fight and win.” The Spaniard concluded.
