Teko Modise Has Retired From Professional Soccer!
Teko Modise Has Retired From Professional Soccer! Today marks an end of an era for arguably one of the best soccer players to come out of South Africa in this generation.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder is a two-time PSL Footballer of the Year. He won the ABSA Premier League three times, MTN8 two times and a Telkom Knockout and CAF Champions League champion. Now he has hung his professional boots.
“Growing up and getting recognized, I wanted to be Doctor Khumalo of this era. I knew that one day this day would come and I actually say, proudly so, that I have achieved everything that I wanted to achieve as a footballer. Hope somebody else will be sitting right here & being able to say that they got inspired by my career,” Teko said in a video posted by his last club Cape Town City FC.
Teko will reportedly take up a new role at CTC FC.
Thank You Teko.#NewChapterBegins
