Elias Mokwana Attracts Global Interest as Espérance Confirm Transfer Enquiries

Espérance de Tunis have confirmed growing interest in South African winger Elias Mokwana, with clubs from across the globe enquiring about his availability.

Club spokesperson Walid Guerfala told Mosaique FM that several teams have made informal approaches for the 25-year-old. However, no official bids have been submitted. Mokwana joined Espérance from Sekhukhune United at the beginning of the 2024/25 season and has since become a vital part of the squad.

He scored six goals and provided four assists during the campaign, helping the Blood and Gold secure a domestic treble. His performances have sparked speculation about a potential move in the current transfer window.

While Mokwana’s future remains uncertain, Guerfala confirmed that four other players are on the verge of leaving. Mohammed Al-Muhali, Moataz Al-Zaddam, Zakaria Al-Ayeb, and Osama Bouguerra are not training with the main group due to technical decisions. Their exits are expected to be finalized either through loan deals or contract terminations.

Rodrigo Rodrigues, another key player for Espérance, is also believed to have received informal interest. His situation, like Mokwana’s, could become clearer in the coming weeks as transfer activity intensifies.

Espérance are expected to remain firm unless formal offers that meet the club’s valuation are received. Mokwana still has time on his contract, which may influence negotiations.
