Teko Modise Reveals Who He Thinks Is The Best Player In SA Right Now! Modise retired from professional soccer at the end of this past season. He had shared that growing up he wanted to be the Dr Khumalo of his generation.

So who does Teko think is the Dr Khumalo right now in South Africa? Themba Zwane he says. Asked who he sees as the next influential and exciting talent in South African football‚ Modise didn’t hesitate saying the Sundowns midfielder’s name.

“Zwane does not get the praise he deserves because many do not realise what he is actually doing in Africa‚ in the league and with the national team. No other player is contributing the way he is. Maybe it is because he doesn’t step on the ball‚ or juggle the ball‚ that people don’t appreciate him as much but I think he is the best player I’ve seen in South Africa after Doctor Khumalo,” Teko said.

“He knows how to play. He’s my Footballer of the Year and he’s the next big thing.”
