Thabiso Kutumela Keen to Play as Many Matches as possible For Mamelodi Sundowns! The forward is one of many quality players to have joined the club this transfer window.

Thabiso Kutumela insists that he has received a super warm welcome from his new Mamelodi Sundowns colleagues. He cannot wait to get into his rhythm and start playing as many games as possible.

The competition as Masandawana is the highest in South Africa. They have one of the most competitive squads on the African continent.

Unlike at previous club Maritzburg United, where game time was almost guaranteed, he will have to fight with other quality players to get game time at The Brazilians.

“I felt so excited to join one of the biggest teams in South Africa.” He said to the club media.

“It feels good, I can’t wait to work with the other players and the new technical team.” The excited striker said.

“[Since I joined] they have welcomed me very well at the club – the technical team, players and the management. I am fitting in well and I can’t wait to kick start the new season.”

Kutumela was able to enjoy pre-season with his new teammates and coaching staff. This has helped him understand the playing style which Sundowns aims to achieve.

“I learnt many things during the pre-season, our squad is filled with many quality players.

“I really want to work hard so that I can find my place in the squad and start playing games (and) help the team win trophies.” said the striker.

“Everywhere you go, if you are going to a new environment or a different club, you have to work hard and dedicate yourself to make the line-up.

“The only way to deal with the competition in the team and to fit in is by making sure that I work hard and score goals for the team. I have to assist as well in helping the team to score and win.” he said.
