The 25 year old is an instrumental figure in the Cape Town City midfield. Alongside Mduduzi Mdantsane, the duo is some of the best midfielders in the country.
After signing his contract extension yesterday, the midfielder expressed his happiness at staying with the Cape outfit.
Cape Town City take on an inconsistent Orlando Pirates side this afternoon.
“My focus is to help my team. I want to prove a point every time I step onto the pitch, against every opponent. Pirates will be no exception. I am happy with my new deal and want to repay the faith shown in me,” he tells Sowetan.
“We go to another level when we face these big teams, but this time we do not need extra motivation. It is a jostle for a higher position on the log with them. If we beat them, we go above them on the log table that is the incentive to win this game,”
These two sides have already met twice this season. Orlando Pirates got the better of Cape Town City on the 17th of October in the MTN 8 quarter-final.
They drew 2-2 at Stellenbosch’s Danie Craven Stadium when these sides met in their first DSTV Premiership encounter. It was an entertaining draw which saw Orlando Pirates squander a plethora of chances.
The Cityzens are coming back from a 4-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic in the Nedbank Cup over the past weekend.
