Thabo Rakhale Faces Assault Charges

Orlando Pirates skillful and creative maestro Thabo Rakhale found himself on the wrong side of the law this week after the Bucs man assaulted his girlfriend allegedly for cheating. Gauteng police have confirmed he appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrates Court on Monday but the case was postponed.Spokesperson Fikile Funda said: “The suspect Thabo Rakhale was arrested for assault in Vereeniging. He was released on bail and handed over to his lawyer.”

This matter has got more complicated after it came out yesterday that the girlfriend withdrew the charges and letting the Orlando Pirates star get away with the case. Orlando Pirates have condemned violenec against women and they have reprimanded the player and he should rather focus on getting his game back on and come back from injury.

The police have confirmed that Rakhale’s girlfriend has withdrawn the charges. The police’s Fikile Funda said: “She is withdrawing charges against Mr Thabo Rakhale and so we don’t have a case to investigate. The magistrate has dismissed the case because of the withdrawal of charges.”
