Thandani Ntshumayelo MIA!

Thandani Ntshumayelo is missing in action after he was banned from football for four years after he tested positive for cocaine. A great central midfielder who now has to live with the biggest mistake of his career after this ordeal.

Following the ruling last year, Orlando Pirates terminated his contract. The player was set to appeal the four year ban but has since been silent. Ntshumayelo’s agent Tim Sukazi, has also been quiet. Drugs should be banned from sports at all costs and it is sad that Ntshumayelo got the stick.

Other players who struggle with ill discipline from substance abuse like alcohol is Zongo Masibusane who was sacked by Platinum Stars in 2016 after going awol and not reporting for training sessions. However Ntshumayelo confessed last year that his was a mistake and he was lured by friends at a party. The player is set to be training alone and has been out of the face of media.
