The Bafana Bafana Squad Has Been Chosen
Shakes Mashaba has finally named the players who will be playing ahead of the second leg African Nations Championship qualifier against Mauritius on Sunday the 5th of July. South Africa has been doing so well so far as the last match they won 3-0 against the team in the first leg which was played at the Dobsonville Stadium last weekend.
“We did not have much to do in the selecting this squad bacuase we looked at the players who played in the first leg and needed to add just two more” he said. “We are looking for players who are going to give it their all because Mauritius is going to throw at us everything that they have got, so we need to be prepared for anything” he added.
The Bafana Bafana squad is as follows:
The goal keepers: Jackson Mabokgwana (Mpumalanga Aces), Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs).
The defenders: Wandisile Letlabika ( Bloemfontein Celtic), Thabo Matlaba (Orlando Pirates), Ntsikelelo Nyauza (Orlando Pirates), Tshepo Gumede (Orlando Pirates), Marc Van Heerden (Amazulu), Kwanda Mngonyama (Maritzburg United).
The Midfielders: Gift Motupa (Orlando Pirates), Thabang Monare (Jomo Cosmos), Musa Nyatama (Bloemfontien Celtic), Mandla Masango (Kaizer Chiefs), William Twala (Chippa United) Vuyisile Wana (Bloemfontein Celtic).
The strikers: Bonginkosi Ntuli (Amazulu), Thamsanqa Gabuza (Orlando Pirates), Ndumiso Mabena (Platinum Stars) and Siphelele Ntshabase (Black Leapards).
