The Basketball League won’t set a return date for the competition
ACB statement. The Basketball League, which had been temporarily suspended until April 24, won’t set a return date for the competition. This is the full statement:
The 18 ACB clubs held a video conference briefing on Thursday to assess the effects of the period of temporary suspension and to continue working on future scenarios.
Consequently, the ACB renders the date set of April 24 ineffective, and will analyse the evolution of the health crisis in the coming weeks to make decisions.
Antonio Martín, president of the ACB, spoke on behalf of all the clubs about “the deep pain that the ravages of this terrible pandemic are causing. We are with the families who are suffering and who cannot say goodbye to their loved ones.”
At the sporting level “the objective of resuming competition remains intact and we will analyse together with our clubs the best way to achieve this, always ensuring the health of all participants.”
