Themba Zwane Believes Ronwen Williams Should Win PSL Footballer of The Season! Mshishi has given a huge endorsement to his own teammate.

Ronwen Williams has enjoyed a magnificent first season at Mamelodi Sundowns. Captain Themba Zwane believes Ronwen Williams should be given the PSL Footballer of the Season Award.

There are only two matches left in the DSTV Premiership this season for each team. The final game is the Nedbank Cup, which will be played on the 27^th of May 2023 at Loftus Versfeld.

Williams has kept 18 clean sheets in the DSTV Premiership this season, which is a record for the most in one campaign. In addition to this, Mshishi believes that Williams is also pivotal for his football skills.

“I think he did well for us this season. He’s been helping us with build-up,” Zwane told SuperSport TV.

“You can see the way he passes the ball. He makes us tick as a team even though he’s a goalkeeper. 

“He’s an extra man for our build up. Hopefully, he’ll get the big award,” Mshishi spoke.

He was given the Man of the Match Award for his performance against Marumo Gallants on Saturday night. Despite this, he believes that there is still room for improvement in his game.

“I think personally I did well, but obviously there will always be room for improvement. But I think we did well. 

“The game went according to our plan. We tried to play more and keep more ball possession. 

“We created more chances and took our chances. And at least today, we managed to take two of our chances.

“Our focus is we want to push ourselves to finish on a high note for the league. So, each and every game is important for us. We’re pushing well as a team.” He added.
