Top 5 Best Coaches In The PSL 2017
The coach is an important player in the construction of victory for any team. The coach draws a plan and has to make sure that players adhere to the plan and when the plan does not work it is the coach that takes full responsibility. Below are the top 5 coaches in the PSL 2017, coaches with a thick skin and great results.
- Pitso Mosimane tops the list after taking Mamelodi Sundowns to the top accolade in African club football by winning the CAF Champions league. This follows Sundowns success from winning the PSL title in 2015/2016 season. Recently Mosimane has won the CAF Super Cup with Sundowns.
- Eric Tinkler has revived a young team after being sacked by Orlando Pirates. Currently Cape Town City are 2nd on the PSL table and they have won the 2016/2017 Telkom Knockout.
- Gavin Hunt has taken Wits to finals and has been unlucky but the clever boys won the MTN 8 in 2016 and are currently 3rd on the PSL table. Hunt is know for his dramatic ways in the bench but he is known for results as well. Wits were PSL runner ups in 2015/2016 season.
- Staurt Baxter is a coach to admire who not only has he taken Supersport United to the Telkom Knockout final but he has revived Supersport PSL hopes for 2017 and the team is doing well under his leadership.
- Stanley Menzo must be credited for his great work at Ajax Cape Town. The coach took over reigns from Roger De Sa after the team went from ten games without a win and Menzo winning the last 5 games of Ajax in 2016. He moved the Cape Town based side from the bottom of the log to mid table of the PSL table.
