1)      Brazilians protesting before the games

Everyone began skeptical when Brazil was having all these protests and people being injured prior to the World Cup games. Road blocks and marches hit Brazilian cities, with people criticizing the World Cup spending and demanding better public service, rather than the World Cup.

2)      Brazilians booing off their Heroes after their 7-1 loss to Germany

This defeat left Brazilian fans weeping, some left even before the final whistle went. The Brazilian side were booed off following the disappointing performance, the biggest defeat in a World Cup semi-final and Brazil’s worst defeat in their history.

3)      Spain

Nobody expected that from Spain. We were expecting for them to defend their title hard. The first two games were a disaster, at least the last game they tried to leave in difficulty.

4)      Brazilians setting buses on fire after losing

The Brazilian fans went wild after their hearts were broken. Buses were set on fire that night.

5)      Unfinished road collapses

An overpass under road construction at the hosting city, killing at least two people and trapping a commuter bus, two construction trucks and a car in an embarrassment for a country that has been basking in praise for what has mostly been a smoothly running soccer tournament.
