Tyson named Bafana Bafana Captain.

Stuart Baxter has announced Thulani Hlatshwayo as his permanent Bafana Bafana captain. Baxter announced his 25-man squad last month.

However he was yet to name his candidate for captaincy and the rest of his technical team. After meeting with squad on Sunday, he has sinced announced the individual to marshall the team.

The coach also gave reasons as to why chose the tough tackling defender. ” I obviously see him as being a good captain, thats the reason I picked him. I could have thought, well who’s least likely to be a captain” Joked Baxter.

“I think he has got all the qualities you want from your captain. He’s playing regularly and starring for his club; he’s a strong character within that clubs dressing room; he has experience at the national teamand continental football as a whole.”

The skipper captained Wits to a League and Cup double in the 2016/17 season.
