Watch! Advocate In Senzo Meyiwa’s Case Reveals Witness Will Testify That Kelly Khumalo Shot Senzo

There’s been a major twist on Senzo Meyiwa’s case as the defence lawyer, advocate Malesela Teffo has confirmed that an eye witness will testify that the former goalkeeper was allegedly shot dead by mistake by his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo.

“I put it to you Mr Mosia that a witness, not just a witness, an eyewitness will testify that Senzo Robert Meyiwa was allegedly shot by Nonhlanhla Kelly Khumalo by mistake, as it’s alleged,” says Adv. Malesela Teffo.

Teffo represents four of the men accused of killing former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain in the incident that happened in Vosloorus Boksburg, in October 2014.

This came with a witness that has not been called to the stand yet and will testify that Khumalo used a revolver that belonged to Longwe Thwala who is the son of musician Chicco Twala.

Thwala was one of the people who were at the house during the night of the shooting. At the time she was reportedly dating Khumalo’s sister Zandie.

Furthermore, Teffo also claimed that after Meyiwa was shot, a meeting was held between the people who were in the house and high-ranking police officers, as well as former Gauteng community safety MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malubane.

Teffo didn’t reveal evidence to support what he said but he claimed it is alleged that a plan was made to hide the truth about Meyiwa’s death so that those in the house would not be held responsible.

Muzikawukhulelwa S’Tembu Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Ziphozonke Maphisa, and Fisokuhle Ntuli are the suspects who have been charged for the murder of Meiywa as the trial continues.

Kelly breaks silence on Meyiwa’s trial

Khumalo broke silence about the continuing Meyiwa’s murder trial during her interview with Relebogile Mabotaja on 702 Unplugged.

“When the time is right, and when God allows, then they will hear my voice. So, whatever noise that they are making has absolutely nothing to do with me,” she said.

“Whatever personal feelings they have towards me, I feel like it’s a projection because this is not the only case that has been a failure when it comes to the South African justice system.”

“We have a problem when it comes to the South African justice system, but for some reason, because there is Kelly Khumalo involved, we want to make it something that is peculiar, something that is different, something that has never happened.”

Meanwhile, Khumalo’s lawyer Magdalene Moonsamy says her client feels prejudiced.

“There’s prejudice, there’s discrimination as an attorney and an officer of a court. I’ve said this previously that my client is not a suspect, there was a time Advocate Baloyi indicated to me that she may not even be called as witness, subsequently a few weeks later we were informed that she would be a witness and I thought that this would open a can of worms. The thing that we’ve been saying clearly and consistently is that and this is what she said to me yesterday as well that I want my day in court.”
