United Dominate Young-Player Award Short-List
Four Manchester United players are in the frame for the Premier League’s 2019/20 Young Player of the Season award.
Mason Greenwood, Dean Henderson, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are on the eight-man short-list for the TAG Heuer-sponsored trophy.
Greenwood scored 10 times in the division while still a teenager, while Henderson spent the season on loan at Sheffield United, keeping nine clean sheets as the Blades finished in ninth spot. Martial and Rashford have been full of goals throughout 2019/20.
The in-form forwards finished with 17 strikes apiece in the Premier League, career-high figures, to earn recognition for the award, which is for players aged 23 and under at the start of the season.
Fans will decide who wins and you can cast your vote here.
The Premier League named Rashford as their Academy Player of the Year last week but this accolade is for all youngsters who made a big impression in the campaign.
Hence, Martial and Chelsea’s American import from Borussia Dortmund, Christian Pulisic, are contenders. Pulisic’s Blues team-mate Mason Mount is also included.
Jack Grealish, who was influential in helping Aston Villa avoid relegation, has also been nominated, along with Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold completing the list.
