Terrence Dzvukamanja opened the scoring for the visitors, with Monnapule Saleng rounding off the match in the dying embers of the match.
“We got the energy, we had the two best chances of the first half, before they scored. Pretty much the story of our season so far.” Manousakis told SuperSport TV.
“We came out in the second half, tried to make a game out of it, we tried to make a fight of it. We leave ourselves a little bit open at times.
“But we knew it was going to be a transition game, and you look at the quality they have. One team scored their chances today and the other team didn’t.”
The head coach was asked about his side’s defending in the match, after their 4-0 loss to TS Galaxy in their last encounter.
“Poorly in the first goal, we don’t block the cross. We worked on cover and stepping out to block crosses. I mean really, before then, nothing much has happened, a little bit disappointed with that.
“And yes, you can say what you want about the last goal, just open at that stage. But overall, defended much better than we did against TS Galaxy [4-0 loss] and hopefully it gives us something to build on.” He added.
Manousakis also spoke on the finishing of striker Yamela Mbuthuma.
“Been the story of the season. Been a rare find, played in the ABC Motsepe League, so we don’t put a lot of pressure of him to step up to this league.
“He’s put a shift in, Balo [Somila Ntsundwana] has put a shift in. there’s a couple of players that have stood up today. As much effort and work as he puts in, I think he’s got to put in those chances.
“It’s going to be the difference whether he kicks on to make it or he remains average. But he’s certainly got a lot of potential in him, he’s got a good attitude and certainly happy with the shift that he put in today.” He concluded.
