Gabadinho Mhango scored a stunning screamer against Morocco in the AFCON last 16 tie last night. The goal was not enough to secure passage into the next round though.

Mhango struck the ball from some 40 yards from goal to beat the Moroccan goalkeeper. This goal gave Malawi a shock lead only six minutes into their round of 16 knockout game.
The goal has already been described as one of the goals of the tournament by journalist and media personalities alike. Some even suggest that it could be one of the greatest goals in the history of the African Cup of Nations, such is the spectacular nature of the goal.
Morocco eventually managed to turn the tie around and run out 2-1 winners. Their superstars came to the fore and secured passage into the quarter final.
Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri and PSG right-back Achraf Hakimi scored the goals, with the latter also managing a stunning strike on goal.
Malawi had only managed to score three goals in their entire AFCON journey. Gabadinho Mhango scored all three goals, as the bowed out in the last 16.
