Njabulo Ngcobo is a stern Zulu man, and he enjoys his traditional music. Most men who are from the KZN enjoy Mbaqanga music more than any other genre.

The Kaizer Chiefs defender is also affectionately known as Mapholoba, which translates to “Sir”. This speaks to his rich tradition in his DNA.

He is a very strong Zulu man, who enjoys his Zulu music.

His strength has been severely tested since he left Swallows FC to join Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of last season. He came in as the reigning PSL Defender of the season, after his impressive debut campaign in the DSTV Premiership with the Dube Birds.

However, he’s had a less than ideal tenure with the Soweto Giants. Former coach Stuart Baxter played Ngcobo in defensive midfield most of the time, a position which he can play but does not specialise in.

Now with Arthur Zwane in charge of the team, he is slowly winning over 10111 and he started his first game of the season against Richards Bay FC on Saturday night.
