We Have Been Fighting And Scoring Says Sundowns Coach Pitso Mosimane

Three vital points were collected by Mamelodi Sundowns in a clash against Golden Arrows. This was game number twenty-six as the climax is slowly reaching its peak. This was Masandawana’s first league win since football resumed and it came at a crucial time. It took a 90th-minute winner by Themba Zwane.

“It was a very emotional game for us, very difficult because we were patient, the last ten minutes was the Mamelodi Sundowns we know, I hope my team is back. Good mentality from the substitute. I told Zwane he must be patient because we love him and something will happen,” said coach Pitso Mosimane in the post-match interview.

Coach Pitso Mosimane also touched on the fact that the Brazilians have been scoring “since we have been in the bubble we have scored nine, how can you score nine and not get a chance to win one match. It’s about time, it’s not luck we fought for it, we’ve been fighting. It’s just that we haven’t kept zero at the back but the goals have been there. It’s good for us, good for the confidence we move on. For us it’s more about the break, we have been fighting and scoring, we don’t give up. When you fight and get nothing you stress and there is pressure, and we have been getting that. So we celebrate the win because we have been under a lot of pressure. It is about time we celebrate.”

The next match for Masandawana is a match that is on everyone’s lips, a clash against log leaders Kaizer Chiefs. The point difference is three points and a win for Masandawana will level the top two sides on the same points, they would only be separated by goal difference. Coach Pitso said, “Thursday is not a title decider, the way I know this thing, sometimes the title is decided on the last day. Mathematically the title will not be won on Thursday but we would love to win on Thursday. The fat lady hasn’t sung and we are still going.”
