Wenger Extends Stay, Mahrez wants to Leave.
The longest serving coach in the English Premiership Arsene Wenger has extended his contract as Arsenal coach for a further two years. Wenger’s new deal will keep him at The Gunners until 2019.
Arsenal had what was probably their worst season since the arrival of Wenger. They failed to qualify for the Uefa Champions League for the first time in over 15 seasons, however they managed to give their fans something to smile about by winning the FA Cup at the end of the season.
Sections of Arsenal supporters of Arsenal called for Wenger to step down.
Elsewhere, Riyad Mahrez has told Leicester City that he wants to leave for a new team. Arsenal are said to be favorites in the race for the Algerian. Monaco FC are also interested in his services however it seems as if the price asked is too high, along with his wages.
