Who Will Make The Top 8 Cut At The End Of The Season?

While other teams in the bottom half of the table fight for survival in the PSL and try to avoid the relegation zone, teams in the top half of the table fight for two things and that is the PSL title and the MTN Top 8. There is 10 games remaining and the biggest looser will be the number 9 and 10 on the PSL table.

Not only is the PSL title contested for but teams also want to cement their names for the MTN Top 8 next season. This is an exciting cup competition. So far as things stand in the PSL table, the top 8 teams are as follows.

1.Bidvest Wits with 38 points and sitting at the top of the table. Wits have only played 19 games and thus have a game in hand.

2.Cape Town City with 38 points and second on the table.

3.Supersport United has 37 points and have played 20 games. They are currently 3rd on the PSL table.

4.Kaizer Chiefs, have 35 points and have played 20 games.

5.Sundowns have only played 17 games and they have 35 points. They have some few games in hand.

6.Polokwane City, have played 21 games and they have 27 points and they sit 6 on the PSL table.

7.Golden Arrows, have played 21 games and have 27 points. They need to fight to stay within the top 8.

8. Platinum Stars, have 25 points and have played 20 games. They are not safe in the top 8 but they will continue to fight to stay in the top 8 by the end of the season.
