Wits and Supersport to get punished by SAFA.
Bidvest Wits and Supersport United failed to release their players on time for the U20 Fifa World Cup in South Korea. Safa is standing its ground regarding this issue.
At the beginning of the tournament Amajita were without the duo of Reeve Frosier and Teboho Mokoena. The duo arrived only in time to play the second game against Italy. However with not enough time to settle in, Frosier was the only one able to play in the second game.
Amajita arrived back in South Africa on Monday after crashing out in the group stages, managing to get only one point from their last game against Uruguay.
Safa is determined to set a precedent, Mumble said “the case is still continuing” and further added that they want to set a precedent and the league has been supportive but these two clubs have been disappointing when it comes to releasing players”
Mumble also added that they were not pleased with Amajita’s performance at the show piece.
