Wolves Sign Nelson Semedo From Barcelona! The 26 year old joins after 3 season with Barcelona. The Portuguese international joins on a three year deal, with an option to extend to 5 years. He joins the Molineux side after Barcelona accepted a 26.4 million pound deal from Wolves
Nelson Semedo becomes the latest Portuguese superstar to join Wolves. He becomes the 11th Portuguese player in the Wolves line-up. Semedo spent three season in Catalonia, winning two La Liga titles.
Semedo had a mixed bag of fortunes with Barcelona. He spent the entire three years fighting with Sergi Roberto for the right back berth. He was disappointing in Barcelona’s 8-2 and 4-0 defeats to Bayern Munich and Liverpool respectively.
However, the pacey full back was still a crucial member of the Barcelona side that won back-to-back La Liga titles. He’s also won the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.
The full back, still only 26 year’s old, adds a wealth of experience to a growing Wolves side. He joins international team mates such as Rui Patricio, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Daniel Podence.
Wolves CEO Jeff Shi was delighted to announce the signing.

Nelson Semedo was excited to join the Wolves family: “I’m very excited to be here. It’s a very good team. To play in the Premier League is a dream from me too. So, I’m very excited to begin, to meet my teammates and start training,” he said.
“I chose Wolves because it’s a very good team that plays very good football. Last year they did a very good season and it’s a very important team in England, in also Europe. I hope this year we can do very good things.
“Coach Nuno is a very good coach. He did very good things here in Wolves and in other teams too. For sure I’m going to learn a lot from him.” Semedo added
“The team did very good things the last three years. I’m ambitious and I hope this year we can do very good things, reach the top six and, if it’s possible, do something special.
“I’m very happy to be here. I’m excited to get started and thank you very much for your support and we’re going to enjoy it together.”
