World Cup Winning Captain Siya Kolisi Signs With Jay Z Sports Agency

South African Rugby World Cup winning captain Siya Kolisi Springbok captain Siya Kolisi joins a plethora of heavyweight names in sports as the newest addition to sports management company  Roc Nation Sports International.

The news was announced by veteran sports broadcaster Robert Marawa on Tuesday evening upon Siya visiting Michael Yormark, President of Roc Nation Sports International in London.

The Springbok captain signed the major deal with the international sports company, founded and owned by US superstar rapper and businessman Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and in 2013 the agency branched out into sports management with Roc Nation Sports.  

Roc Nation Sports International is an agency that aims to help elevate the careers of athletes, both on and off the field whilst specialising in securing endorsements deals, media relations and philanthropic projects.

Roc Nation Sports currently represents 77 athletes across fields such as basketball, baseball, boxing and American football.

Earlier this year, the company set up a soccer-focused international division with a focus on bringing “lifestyle, music and sport to the epicentre of the world’s soccer market.”

The agency has Premier League stars Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku on their books whle Chelsea youngster Reece James is one of their more recent additions.

Kolisi’s exploits on and off the field earned him fame which thrust him in the public eye after leading South Africa to Webb Ellis trophy success on top of his very humble background.

Upon hoisting the trophy aloft, Kolisi said, “Growing up, I never dreamed of a day like this at all. When I was a kid all I was thinking about was getting my next meal.”
