Yagan Sasman Expects Tough Game against Swallows FC! Kaizer Chiefs visit The Dube Birds in the DSTV Premiership today. Defender Yagan Sasman is fully aware that it will not be an easy fixture.

Amakhosi are reeling from a 2-1 defeat to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in the DSTV Premiership last week. This defeat continued to dent Kaizer Chiefs’ hopes of finishing in a top 8 position.

Swallows on the other hand are practically guaranteed a top 8 finish in their first season back from the NFD.

“I think the game is going to be difficult for us because it is another Soweto Derby,” Sasman tells the Kaizer Chiefs website.

“We all know that derbies are difficult, and players want to win them. It’s an even more important game for us.

“As things stand, each and every one of the remaining games is important to us. We are all hyped up for Wednesday’s match.” He admits.

With 4 matches remaining for them, a top 8 finish is very much in their realm. Gavin Hunt’s men will need to erase all their mistakes and practically put up perfect performances to gain a top 8 spot.

“It is key for Chiefs to do well in the four remaining league games and collect the 12 points on offer,” he adds.  

“We need to try and start with the three points on Wednesday because our goal is to make the top eight and every point is vital.”

Yagan Sasman started the season in impressive fashion. He scored two goals in the first game of the current season in the MTN 8 quarter-final against Maritzburg United.

He has since struggled to feature this season for Gavin Hunt.

“Being in and out of the team and not always playing has been difficult,” he admits,

“But the guys are pushing each other on and off the field, even the guys on the bench. If you are not playing, you must support the guys on the field – that’s how teamwork works.
