Zakhele Lepasa Very Excited to Join SuperSport United on Loan! The striker has sealed a temporary move to Matsatsantsa.

SuperSport United confirmed the acquisition of striker Zakhele Lepasa from Orlando Pirates. He has joined on a short-term loan until the end of the season.

Matsatsantsa also signed midfielder Zukile Kewuti on a similar short-term loan in January. Lepasa will hope to either win a permanent transfer or impress enough to gain more minutes at Orlando Pirates.

He has seen his playing time slowly dwindle during the season. In the beginning, he impressed and even gained a call up and appearance for Bafana Bafana.

However, the impressive performances of Kermit Erasmus and Terrence Dzvukamanja have seen him surplus to requirements.

“I am very excited to be here and I’m hoping to add value in the team especially upfront and getting results. I am looking forward to meeting the Matsatsantsa fans this weekend when we play Cape Town City and I promise to give my all during my stay.” He told the club press.

Matsatsantsa let go of striker Iqraam Rayners who re-joined Stellenbosch FC on a long-term deal. Striker Thamsanqa Gabuza was also set to leave the club in January, but there were no potential suitors for him.
