Can Bafana Bafana rekindle joy of 1996?

Its has been 20 years since South Africa’s historic triumph at the Africa Cup of Nations hosted on home soil.

Since that historic triumph Bafana Bafana have not been able to make an appearance in the final of Africa’s biggest football event.

SAFA has over the years rolled out several programmes in a bid to develop talent that will enhance Bafana Bafana’s chances of glory.

It has not been an easy road with South Africa trying several coaches such as Trot Moloto, Jomo Sono, Stuart Baxter, Gordon Ingesund Carlos Alberto Perreira, Pitso Mosimane and Shakes Mashaba among others.

Despite numerous technical changes Bafana Bafana have often flattered to deceive raising the question can South Africa ever rekindle the joy of 1996?
