Upon his arrival, he was tasked with sharpening the goal scoring of attackers Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and the likes. Working with Cristiano Ronaldo was just a privilege.
However, after the unsavoury departure of the Portuguese superstar, Marcus Rashford has been in the form of his life. The striker has scored more goals than any other player in Europe’s top 5 league after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
This form has been credited to the influence of Benni McCarthy, a deadly striker back in his day.
“He’s definitely helped me a lot,” Marcus Rashford spoke of McCarthy.
