Phiri to France, Pienaar for Chiefs?

Recent Bafana Bafana call Lebohang Phiri has scored himself a move to the French Ligue 1. Phiri who is a free agent left his Danish team Brondby has signed a four year contract with Ligue 1 side EA Guingamp.

The player is still a closed book to South Africans, most will be seeing him for the first time in the AFCON Clash against Nigeria next month.

Elsewhere it seems as if Kaizer Chiefs will make a move for South African veteran, Steven Pienaar. Pienaar’s team Sunderland got relegated at the end of the English Premier League season, with manager David Moyes relinquishing his position. Moyes brought Pienaar in as a free agent at the beginning of the season.

With Chiefs having admitted that their transfer policy needs to be revised, and stating the need to bring in more experienced player’s, Pienaar seems to be an option they might be considering.

Pienaar said, if he gets the opportunity to finish his career back at home where it all started, he would grab the opportunity with both hands.
