Innocent Maela has a very great hobby which keeps him occupied when he’s not playing the game. It seems that he is a keen photographer.
Footballers all have their own niche to them. Because the sport is such a time-consuming profession, it is very easy for these people to get worked up.
Many professionals have their own little “things” they do, when not playing the beautiful game. Maela just loves taking pictures.
“I’ve always believed in savouring the moment. In the end, they are the only things we have.” Maela writes on his Instagram.
On the field, he has enjoyed a good start to life under José Riveiro at Orlando Pirates. He was made club captain by the powers that be at the club before the new season began.
This followed the departure of veteran and long-serving captain Happy Jele. The mantle for the club leadership was passed onto Maela.
It is a role which he has handled quite well thus far. His position has also been much more central this campaign.
