Nasreddine Nabi Praises His Players After Historic Nedbank Cup Win Over Sundowns

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has delivered a heartfelt message to his players following their dramatic 2-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup on Sunday.

The win, achieved at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, has reignited hope at Naturena as the Soweto giants stand just one game away from ending a painful 10-year trophy drought. It was Chiefs’ first win over Sundowns in four meetings this season, making the result even more momentous.

By booking their place in the final, Amakhosi have also kept their continental ambitions alive. A victory in the final — where they will face long-time rivals Orlando Pirates in a blockbuster Soweto Derby — could see them qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.
