Gavin Hunt Insists That There Is A Lot Of Work To Be Done! Kaizer Chiefs lost 2-1 to Cape Town City in the DSTV Premiership last night.

This is a result which dents Amakhosi’s hopes of making it into the top 8 this season. Yesterday, Hunt claimed that Chiefs are aiming for a top 5 finish.

He was disappointed with yesterday’s result.

“Disappointed with the result. “ Hunt tells SuperSport TV.

“Thought we deserved a draw. It didn’t come but you know we are on the back foot in the first half.

“Disappointing.” Gavin Hunt explains.

“We’ve led games this year and we’ve thrown it away. It’s becoming a trend.

“We should have got a point here tonight, that’s for sure. The final ball let us down.

“They also had chances but all in all we looked a bit heavy-legged. So, it wasn’t good.

“Every game is important from the start of the season right to the end. There’s no difference, so we’ve got to regroup now and go again on Sunday” he says.

“Uhm, ja. Lots of work!”

Gavin Hunt is also quite keen on reinforcing his strike force. At the moment, they are heavily reliant on striker Khama Billiat, Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurkovic.

I think we have had a lot of opportunities in that position. We should have someone in double figures, that’s for sure.

“But it has not been, obviously because of unavailability and a lot of missed games and due to a lot of other reasons and there’s one main factor.

“But that’s out of my hands, but that’s not the be and end all. But certainly we have missed a lot of opportunities, but we have also let in a lot of goals this season.

“In these type of games you can defend better and still win these type of games,” Hunt said.
