5 Shocking Things Kelly Khumalo Said About Senzo Meyiwa In Latest Interview

The death of former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa in October 2014 left many with questions as he was shot at his girlfriend’s home – Kelly Khumalo, Vosloorus. Khumalo has been encountering accusations of being involved in Meyiwa’s death but in all that she seems to stand steady and denies allegations.

In an exclusive interview with Silindelo Masikane of eNCA, Kelly Khumalo expressed her disappointment in the South African law that she feels it doesn’t play its role.

1 – KHUMALO SAYS MEYIWA BECAME FAMOUS COURTESY OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP

She says she didn’t know Senzo Meyiwa until her friend introduced him to her. Further, she also believes that people didn’t know Meyiwa before they got into a relationship. “No body knew who Senzo Meyiwa was until she was attached to the brand ‘Kelly Khumalo’,” she said.

2 – ‘I HAVE HAD NOTHING TO GAIN’

She went on to say, “So, really, like really, I have nothing to gain, I’ve had nothing to gain.” It’s quite difficult to understand what she implied with “nothing to gain” statement, leaving a question of “where? Perhaps from relationship?”

3 – ‘JUSTICE IS NOT SERVED’

Khumalo feels justice has not been served as no one has been sentenced for the killing of Meyiwa. ”We have a problem in our country and this is not just about Kelly Khumalo, the musician. This is about an individual in the pits and darkest place of wherever it is, where they lose loved ones and justice is not served.

4 – KELLY BELIEVES SOME PEOPLE SUPPORT HER

“I once said something about this [lack of justice] on my Instagram page. To my surprise, I had a lot of people saying they support and agree with what I am saying because they are some of the South African citizens who have been robbed of justice in this country because for some reason the law is not playing the part it is supposed to play. That is what every South African is going through,” said Khumalo.

5 – ‘I’VE HAD MY LIFE THREATENED’

“With what has happened to me, I’ve had my life threatened, I have my family threatened, not once but multiple times and I feel like the law is not coming into place to protect and make me feel like that it is within my right to have protection for myself and family,” said Khumalo.

KHUMALO AND MEYIWA’S DAUGHTER

When Meyiwa passed away, his daughter he shared with Khumalo was seven months old. Her name is Thingo and is now eight years old according to The South African.
