7 things you didn’t know about Anele Ngcongca.

1. Calvin Anele Ngcongca is a right back for the Belgian club Racing Genk and the South Africa national squad. He was born on 21 October 1987 in Cape Town, South Africa.

2. Before joining the Belgian Jupiler League participant Racing Genk in 2007, Anele had played for FC Fortune.

3. The defender won the 2010/11 Jupiler Pro League, lifted the Belgian Cup in 2009 and the Belgian Supercup in 2011.


4. Since November 2009 Ngcongca has represented South Africa at international level.

5. He is part of the Genk team that is regarded as the best ever in the history of the club.

6. He plays as right back and can also double up as centre back, a very versatile player.

7. In 2016 he signed for Mamelodi Sundowns, Sundowns being the first professional team he plays for in South Africa.
