“Khune Never Held Chiefs To Ransom”, Says Khune’s Agent
Dan Lichman, Itumeleng Khune’s representative has denied claims that Khune held Kaizer Chiefs ‘to ransom’, stating that the money issue was never discussed. It was confirmed at the press conference yesterday that Khune, who has been with the team since the age of 13 years, would be leaving the club after the club decided not to meet his demands.
Kaizer Motaung said that Khune disrespected the club as he demanded too much money and that he has been badly advised. Lichman, says that as far as he is concerned all the was said at the conference is far from the truth, that Khune never stated any financial demands to the club.
“I did not deal with the Chairman, only with Bobby Motaung. The club only made a single offer to Khune in 18 months, the offer was very late, it was incomplete and was rejected. No financials were ever presented by Khune to the club. The club has lost a great player. ” said Dan.
Now it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the player.
