The 2015/2016 title race is proving to be closely contested one with four front runners emerging after 12 games.
Top of the pile is Mamelodi Sundowns who top the standings with 26 points heading into this weekend’s round of matches. In second place is Bidvest Wits who also have 26 points but have an inferior goal difference to that of Sundowns.
Mpumulanga Black Aces are third with 24 points while Kaizer Chiefs lie fourth with 21 points.
Given the race is proving to be closely contested various views of who will go all the way have emerged. For some Sundowns have the credentials of maintaining the form they have shown this term with others positive Gavin Hunt can replicate his achievements at Supersport United where he captured three consecutive league titles.
Mpumalanga Black Aces who are third have been this season’s dark horses while Kaizer Chiefs can never be written off given the experience they have gained as a club over the years. Amakhosi are only 5 points off the pace and a good spell could see them soon top of the PSL standings.
Given the intriguing contest in the title race it will be an interesting 2016 with the major question that emerges now being who between the four front runners will walk away as the champions?
