Bongani Zungu Starts His New Career At A New Club Vitoria Guimaraes In Portugal
The former Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu was signed by a Portugal football club Vitoria Guimares early this year. The 22 year old suffered a hairline fracture on his shin,when he was playing against Maritzburg United. Bongani had suffered from the injury for about 4 months but that didn’t stop him to Portugal.
Zungu has been training and working out on the treadmill and in the gym but he has not had work with the ball or engaged in full contact yet.
Guimaraes‚ who are financially backed by the Pretoria-based businessman Mario Ferreira‚ finished 10th in the Portuguese league last season.
Zungu’s new coach is Pedro Martins‚ a former Portugal international‚ who has only just be appointed.The new season in Portugal kicks off on August 14.
