Manchester City and Puma have released their new kit for the 2021/2022 season. The kit pays tribute to Sergio Aguero’s 93rd minute winner against QPR in 2011/2012 which won them their first Premier League trophy.
The 2021/2022 season marks 10 seasons since Manchester City won their first ever Premier League title. The title was won in the most dramatic fashion the league has ever witnessed.
Sergio Aguero scored the winning goal for Manchester City in the 93rd minute. The ball crossed the line at 93:20 to be exact.
Puma has paid tribute to this momentous occasion by imprinting 93:20 on the back of this season’s kit. This is a special way to mark 10 years since the occasion, ironically, for their favourite #10.
“Witnessing that moment is something I will never forget. When the goal went in, we knew we had just seen greatness, something special,” said Micah Richards.
“The league was hanging in the balance and then to secure it in the final minute, in that fashion, I don’t think will ever be replicated.
“The new kit is a perfect tribute to one of the greatest moments in City’s history.”
Manchester City’s new Puma kit is currently available to purchase for R1500. The shirt is available at all Puma stores in South Africa, as well as other retail outlets. Manchester City & Puma Release Sergio Aguero Inspired Kit For 2021/2022!
