Manqoba Mngqithi Believes Mamelodi Sundowns Could Have Scored More Goals! The Brazilians got the better of the Rockets yesterday.

Mamelodi Sundowns beat TS Galaxy 3-0 in the DSTV Premiership yesterday. Co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi is under the impression that they could have scored even more goals.

The visitors were absolutely imperious against their hosts at the Mbombela Stadium yesterday. They were also assisted by the fact that The Rockets were sent down to 10-men.

Khuliso Mudau, Haashim Domingo and Peter Shalulile scored the goals. The first two were in stunning fashion.

The champions have now passed the 50-point marker in the season.

“I think we played very well. First half we lost too many balls unfortunately,” he told SuperSport TV after the win.

“The red card also assisted us. We were playing against a very good team, but I was very unhappy with the amount of pressure and intensity we put on their centre-backs even when they were one man down.

“First half in particular because they gained a lot of confidence in that space and we lost far too many balls. We could have easily been caught on the counterattack.

“But second half we improved the structure. Haashim and Kapinga had very good moments.

“Very happy for Divine Lunga to have such a nice assist and also very happy for Peter to score his goal because this was very important for him to keep going and gain his confidence because his confidence was getting low.

“An impressive performance second half but still not happy we only scored three goals. If we were more incisive in our passing game, we could have scored more goals but we were playing against a very good team so we must give credit to them.

“I think it was a good performance from our group and unfortunate for them to get a red card.” He spoke.
