European Footballer Jakub Jankto Reveals He Is Homosexual! He is the latest player to expose his sexual orientation.
Jakub Jankto, who plays for Getafe and on loan at Sparta Prague has revealed that he is gay. He has become the highest profile player to come out of the closet.
Last year, Jake Daniels was the last professional player to come out as a homosexual. Jankto, in an emotional video released on his Twitter account, spoke about how he is tired of hiding.
“Hi, I’m Jakub Jankto,” the midfielder announced.
“Like everybody else, I have my strengths, I have my weaknesses, I have a family, I have my friends.
“I have a job, which I have been doing it as best as I can, for years, with seriousness, professionalism and passion. Like everybody else, I also want to live my life in freedom without fears, without prejudice, without violence, but with love.
“I am homosexual, and I no longer want to hide myself.” He added.
Sparta Prague, the club where he is currently on loan, showed their support to the player.
“Jakub spoke openly about his sexual orientation with the club some time ago,” the club stated.
“Everything else concerns his personal life. No further comments. No more questions. You have our support.
“Live your life, Jacob. Nothing else matters.”
