Magesi FC Invites Ntsako Makhubela to Join Training in Bid to Boost Survival Hopes
Magesi FC, struggling at the bottom of the Betway Premiership table, has reached out to former Orlando Pirates and Richards Bay FC midfielder Ntsako Makhubela in a bid to secure their top-flight status. The Limpopo-based club has invited Makhubela to join their training sessions with the intention of signing him in the coming days.
Makhubela, who has been without a club since parting ways with Richards Bay at the end of last season, brings a wealth of experience that could prove crucial for Magesi as they battle relegation. The 30-year-old midfielder, who came through the Orlando Pirates development ranks and also featured for the first team, has previously played for clubs such as Golden Arrows and Moroka Swallows.
According to sources close to the club, Makhubela’s potential signing would provide much-needed seniority to the squad. “Ntsako Makhubela could be signing with Magesi in the next few days. He has already started training with the team, and he is one of the senior players who are targeted by the club to reinforce their squad to fight against relegation,” said the source.
Magesi FC, currently in 16th place on the Betway Premiership log with just one win in 12 matches, is in a precarious position. Despite the club’s impressive Carling Knockout Cup victory in their first top-flight season, they are struggling to find form in the league. Makhubela’s experience and leadership could be the catalyst needed to steer the team towards survival.
The club’s management will be hoping that Makhubela’s addition to the squad will bring the stability and strength required for the crucial months ahead as Magesi FC fights to retain its place in the Premiership.
