April 2025 Betway Premiership Monthly Awards: Makgalwa, Tinkler and Lilepo Shine
Keletso Makgalwa, Eric Tinkler, and Glody Lilepo have been named the Betway Premiership Monthly Awards winners for April 2025, following exceptional performances that caught the attention of the judging panel made up of PSL-accredited football journalists and broadcasters.
Makgalwa, the dynamic Sekhukhune United midfielder, earned the Player of the Month award after playing a key role in his team’s unbeaten run. He featured in three of their four fixtures, scoring once and assisting another goal, showcasing his creativity and attacking drive.
He edged out competition from teammate Renaldo Leaner, who managed two clean sheets, and Stellenbosch FC’s Sanele Barns, who also delivered consistent performances.
Eric Tinkler, head coach of Sekhukhune United, was named Coach of the Month. Under his leadership, the team recorded three wins and a draw, including victories over Cape Town City, Polokwane City, and Orlando Pirates, while holding TS Galaxy to a 1-1 draw. These results propelled Sekhukhune into the top three of the league standings.
Kaizer Chiefs forward Glody Lilepo claimed the Goal of the Month title for his stunning solo effort against Marumo Gallants on 26 April. After beating three defenders with skill and pace, he unleashed a powerful strike into the top corner. His goal edged out memorable efforts from Kamogelo Sebelebele and Thulani Gumede.
