Gift Links Continues Impressive Form with Aarhus GF
South African international Gift Links has continued his strong start to the season with Danish side Aarhus GF. The 26-year-old was on the scoresheet again as Aarhus thrashed Odense Boldklub 5-1 on Monday evening, scoring the fifth goal to complete the rout.
This marked the second consecutive match in which Links found the back of the net. Last weekend, he scored the third goal in Aarhus’ 3-2 victory against FC Copenhagen, his first from a direct free-kick, and also provided two assists in that game.
Links has been deployed as a left-wingback under new manager Jakob Poulson’s 3-4-3 system, and he has flourished in the role. The former Platinum Stars wide man has already recorded two goals and one assist in just five league games this season, helping Aarhus sit fourth on the Danish Superliga log with two wins, two draws, and one defeat.
Since joining Aarhus in 2019, Links has played over 170 games and established himself as a key player for the team. He was reportedly included in the Danish Superliga Team of the Season for 2023/24, highlighting his importance and consistent performances in the league.
His current form suggests Links will continue to be a pivotal figure for Aarhus this season, contributing both offensively and defensively from his wide position.
